Jaccob can order the best CRM software here. New York, NY
My college no longer exists... I studied philosphy at Wadhams Hall Seminary College. The college is now a conference/retreat center. Then I switched from diocesan to Franciscan. Then I left to sort out what direction I want to go. I'm still sorting.
I got involved with the Howard Dean grassroots movement because I had become very disgusted with who we were becoming as a nation. Our government was (and still is, in my opinion) flagrantly flouting the rule of law, dividing the people among classes (to the benefit of the upper class) and walking all over human and civil rights. (Anyone who supports the 'Patriot Act' should spend a couple weeks in NYC and observe the 'Patriot Act' in action).
The truth is, however, that we as a people seem to be okay with that. Those who pursue power for power's sake are winning the war of ideologies. That is where I think we at Catholics for Democracy come in. The Catholic community have an ideology rooted in Christ. If we are going to call ourselves a christian nation, that ideology ought to have influence in our politics.
In addition to working with CfD, I am also working at the local level as an Organizer with
Picture the Homeless and have coordinated with the
Poverty Initiative, a new program instituted by Union Theological Seminary -- a non-Catholic, non-denominational seminary affiliated with
Columbia University.
